Kappa Crucis

Kappa Crucis is the second satellite planet, and is known for its appearance as a "storybook world." It is almost entirely landmass, with no open ocean, just large purple rivers snaking across the globe. From space, it almost looks like a jungle planet, covered by a primarily green terrain with patches of dark red and light brown here and there. The atmosphere has a yellow tint to it, and puffy white and orange clouds are scattered throughout the sky. Often known simply as "Kappa" or "KC," the planet has a tighter orbit path than any of the other six bodies, staying quite close to Terra Firma and the center of the orbit system.

From the surface, the planet vaguely resembles Earth but with a highly exaggerated appearance reminiscent of children's fairy tales. Most of the landscape is composed of lush green forests, mountains and valleys, with grass and trees growing high into the air.

There are a few deserts and flatlands spread across the globe, but they are rare. The Thalin Flatlands is the only such region that sees much activity, as it boasts one of the top learning centers on the planet. Aside from that, however, the dryer, more remote regions tend to remain completely uninhabited and untouched by the Xilon, although the wildlife population is quite abundant.

On a nice day, the skies of Kappa are a stunningly bright, clear blue, with thick puffs of orange clouds drifting slowly overhead. The beautiful weather remains constant all year round, leaving the planet with a consistently warm and breezy climate, never especially hot or cold.

Light sunshowers are the only form of rain that the surface ever sees, resulting in the colorful, oversized foliage that gives the world its distinct and welcoming appearance, and making it one of the more popular places for Xilon children to spend their free time.

Kappa Crucian villages are usually compact, located in clusters of oddball houses, scattered across the lusher areas of the planet, with homes often built around the many peaceful ponds and rivers, or along woodland cascades under the thick canopy of the forest.
